Plenary Lecture at the World Congress on Nanomedicine
Dr Akhil Jain has been invited to deliver a Plenary Lecture at the World Congress on Nanomedicine 2026 in New Delhi, chaired by Nobel Laureate Prof. Roger D. Kornberg.
EPSRC Open Fellowship awarded
Dr Jain was awarded an EPSRC Open Fellowship to establish the Electro-Med group. The funding covers five years, from 2026 to 2031, and the lab will be recruiting postdoctoral researchers every year over that period.

Funding awarded for a brand new fluorescence microscope
We have been awarded funding for a brand new fluorescence microscope. The Zeiss Axiovert 7 will support DAPI, GFP and Cy5 live and fixed cell imaging with multiposition time lapse capability for the group.
